This filter fits our 16"x16" filter pan and can be washed and reused many times.  You only use one of these at a time but it doesn't hurt to have a couple on hand depending on the volume of syrup you will be filtering.

The filter is laid over the filter tray and pressed down in as well as it can be.  Material will hang over the outside edges of the pan.  Two or three pre filters are then draped over the top of this filter.  As the top pre-filter clogs with sugar sand it is carefully removed and filtering continues with the next pre-filter.
